Pumpkin Bread


This bread is so moist and delicious! Perfect with a cup of hot tea.

Modified recipe from Hannah Maynard
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1-1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 C. chopped nuts
  • 2 T. flax seed (optional)
  • 1/2 C. butter, melted
  • 3/4 C. sugar (I used 1/2 C. evap. cane juice)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 C. pumpkin
Grease and flour one loaf pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine dry and wet ingredients separately; mix together just until thoroughly moistened. Bake for one hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
