Recipe from Aunt Evelyn
- 1 head lettuce, cut
- 1/2 C. celery, chopped
- 1/2 C. green onions, chopped
- 1/2 C. green bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 C. carrots, grated
- 1 oz. frozen peas
- 2 C. mayonnaise
- 2 T. sugar
- 8 oz. cheddar cheese, grated
- 10 strips bacon, diced and fried crisp
Lay lettuce in the bottom of a 9" x 13" dish. Layer celery, onions, pepper, carrots, and peas. Combine mayonnaise and sugar; spread over salad. Top with cheese and bacon.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
